Christians or believers of Jesus Christ put a lot of emphasis on the cross. Why is this Cross so important? What happened at the cross? Read today's blog to understand how the cross changes everything in your life. The cross gives light to your purpose, destiny and identification. You are created with a purpose: God created human to be like him with good health; blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly blessings (Genesis 2:27-28, Isaiah 53:5, Ephesians 1:3). God created us to have a regular fellowship with us. The Creator Himself wanted to talk to us and know about our day. He made us like him so we can commune with Him in His spiritual realm. Adam and Eve had direct access to God daily and and understood God's word. God gave them power over the creation and asked them one thing, which is, not to eat from the tree of good and evil. If they do that, they will surely die. Since Adam and Eve disobeyed God, sin took opportunity in their lives. Obstacle to be with God When sin occurred through disobedience to God’s words, the spirit man died. Our right standing and access to God were hindered through sin, and the shame of sin came in our lives. We have all inherited this sin from the first man, Adam. (Romans 3:23) Due to the sin problem that we inherited through Adam, our spirit is dead. We received the sin nature and we are not qualified to be in union with God the Creator. Our default nature is to do what is wrong and evil, since the spirit man which was of God has died. God is a spirit; we can only have a relationship with God if we are spirit (and holy) like Him. God gave the Law This is why the law was given to Moses from God, to point people to the righteous and godly lifestyle that is expected of God. However, no one was able to keep the law or meet the requirements of the law. God still wanted to have a relationship with us. He appointed priest to offer holy animal sacrifices yearly, so He could talk to His people and bless them - just as He always intended from the beginning of Creation. But this solution would not qualify us to have eternal life with Him. God's eternal Solution In order to deliver us from this sin problem, God made a way for us to have His spirit and eternal life: a sacrifice must be made that is spotless, with no sin and sickness. God sent His ONLY Son Jesus Christ as the spotless lamb that will be sacrificed for our sins and meet all the requirements that were against. This is why Jesus came, so that we do not perish but have life through Him. ( John 3:16) God loved us so much that, He knew good works and disciples of your body will not get you eternal life. God himself came down in human form to meet all the requirements that were against us, and qualified us to be in right standing before God. (Philippians 2:6-8) The cross has broken the middle wall between humans and God, and made us one with God. Now the because of the cross, we have direct access to God and can have daily fellowship with Him again now and forever.

Isaiah 41:10 New King James Version (NKJV) 10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand Isaiah 53:4-5 New King James Version (NKJV) 4 Surely He has borne our [a]griefs And carried our [b]sorrows; Yet we [c]esteemed Him stricken, [d]Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded[e] for our transgressions, He was [f]bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes[g] we are healed. Jeremiah 1:12 New King James Version (NKJV) 12 Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am [a]ready to perform My word.” Jeremiah 17:14 New King James Version (NKJV) 14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise. Jeremiah 30:17 New King James Version (NKJV) 17 For I will restore health to you And heal you of your wounds,’ says the LORD, ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “This is Zion; No one seeks her.” ’ Joel 3:10 New King James Version (NKJV) 10 Beat your plowshares into swords And your [a]pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ Nahum 1:9 New King James Version (NKJV) 9 What do you [a]conspire against the LORD? He will make an utter end of it. Affliction will not rise up a second time. Matthew 8:2-3 New King James Version (NKJV) 2 And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” 3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Matthew 8:16-17 New King James Version (NKJV) 16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” Matthew 15:30-31 New King James Version (NKJV) 30 Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, [a]maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them. 31 So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the [b]maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel. Matthew 18:18-19 New King James Version (NKJV) 18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19 “Again[a] I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. Matthew 21:21-22 New King James Version (NKJV) 21 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. 22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” Mark 9:23 New King James Version (NKJV) 23 Jesus said to him, “If[a] you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 10:27 New King James Version (NKJV) 27 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.” Mark 11:22-24 New King James Version (NKJV) 22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 16:14-18 New King James Version (NKJV) 14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who [a]believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[b] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Luke 6:19 New King James Version (NKJV) 19 And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all. Luke 9:2 New King James Version (NKJV) 2 He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. Luke 13:16 New King James Version (NKJV) 16 So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” Acts 5:16 New King James Version (NKJV) 16 Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed. Acts 10:38 New King James Version (NKJV) 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Romans 8:2-11 New King James Version (NKJV) 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be [a]carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the [b]carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies [c]through His Spirit who dwells in you. 2 Corinthians 4:18 New King James Version (NKJV) 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 New King James Version (NKJV) 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not [a]carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing Galatians 3:13-29 New King James Version (NKJV) 13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. The Changeless Promise 15 Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: Though it is only a man’s covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it. 16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ. 17 And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God [a]in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. 18 For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise. Purpose of the Law 19 What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. 20 Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one. 21 Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. 22 But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, [b]kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 24 Therefore the law was our [c]tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. Sons and Heirs 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Ephesians 6:10-17 New King James Version (NKJV) The Whole Armor of God 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the [a]wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [b]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; Philippians 2:13 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC) 13 [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while [a]effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and [b]delight. Philippians 4:6-9 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC) 6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition ([a]definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. 7 And God’s peace [shall be yours, that [b]tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall [c]garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. 8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]. 9 Practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and model your way of living on it, and the God of peace (of [d]untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will be with you. 2 Timothy 1:7 New King James Version (NKJV) 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Hebrews 10:23 New King James Version (NKJV) 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:35-36 New King James Version (NKJV) 35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: Hebrews 11:11 New King James Version (NKJV) 11 By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she[a] bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. Hebrews 13:8 New King James Version (NKJV) 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. James 4:7 New King James Version (NKJV) 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 5:14-16 New King James Version (NKJV) 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 [a]Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, [b]fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. 1 Peter 2:24 New King James Version (NKJV) 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose [a]stripes you were healed. 1 John 3:21-22 New King James Version (NKJV) 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 1 John 5:14-15 New King James Version (NKJV) 14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 3 John 2 New King James Version (NKJV) 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 2 New King James Version (NKJV) 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. Revelation 12:11 New King James Version (NKJV) 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
